Our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

FAQs + RESOURCES

Designing a custom gate can be complex, but we can make it as easy as possible. It's essential to consider functionality and aesthetics when creating a unique design that fits your needs and preferences. A wrought iron gate with decorative elements like scrollwork and floral motifs can add a stylish touch to your yard. Still, ensuring the gate is sturdy enough to deter intruders is also vital. Hiring us as your local blacksmith, woodworker, fabricator, to create a unique design for your project is a great idea, and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the result. However, we have answers to our most-asked questions and some resources to help you choose your new gate or other project!

How do I design a gate?

You can look at our website or any other pictures or actual gates to get ideas.  From your general ideas and dreams for your entry gate, we will work with you to develop the design for your gate.

What will a gate or other project cost?

Your project will be priced based on the amount of materials and labor that are needed for your project.  We will discuss your needs and desires and work out the cost for your project based upon the construction needs and your needs.

How do we get started for special projects?

If you have a dream project that you would like to have built, we need as much information about what you want and need.  Pictures of similar items, or drawings and sketches are very helpful.  It is also critical that we know what functionality you need for the project.  Then we will discuss options for the project with you and work toward a final design and estimated cost.

How is the cost for a special project figured?

The cost of special projects are done in the same process as gate and entry projects.  The cost will be developed based upon the design specifications, the materials (both base and accent), and on the time and other logistics that are needed to complete the project.  This will be a collaborative process that is based upon your desires and needs.
